| Kurai Cottage Is a 1000 sq.ft. detached custom designed Japanese cottage. It is located on over 5 acres of open feild and forrest offering panoramnic ocean views. It is surrounded by a bamboo grove, mature oriental garden and pond. The cottage has been built to emmulate the traditional "Minka" or country home found in rural Japan from feudal times up to the 19th century, but rarely found today. We do provide many modern conveniences for your comfort and enjoyment..... Deluxe Tempupedic queen bed, propane heat, 22" flat screen LCD T.V. with 6 speaker Dolby surround sound, CD / DVD player, internet access, small fridge, microwave oven, expesso coffee maker and full size outdoor hot tub. Cooking: There is no formal kitchen but we do provide a propane BB-Q if you would like to do some outdoor grilling. We povide a all the "fixins" for a fresh and healthy continental breakfast. They are left in the fridge or pantry for you to use when you want breakfast. This includes fresh fruit in season, granola, yogurt, fresh premium coffee and tea and orange juice, all to enjoy on your deck as you try to count the goldfish in the oriental pond or spot a whale cruising through Saratoga Passage.......... Sleeping: There is one queen bed in a seperate bedroom area with an attached bathroom. The main room has a traditional large open tatami mat area. suitable for kids to sleep in sleeping bags. There is a loft area but it is accessed by a steep ladder and not suitable for the elderly or very young. Teenagers love it. There are two full sized futons in the loft. These can easily be moved to the main floor if desired. |
